Getting Cozy...

It's been a while since I've gotten a minute to get on meowmi's computer, but she finally left the room with the thing on! Whew! I gotta type fast....
Not only have I had a lot of time to get used to living in this new place, but the weather has gotten a lot colder than I've ever known it could get! Meowmi doesn't let me go out that often, but I sneaked out this weekend when she was looking the other way. It was so chilly, I didn't fight her when she caught up with me to take me back inside!

Whew! Long Trip!

So meowmi and I just moved cross-country and that's the reason I've not posted any new fun pics lately. But as you will see, I've got lotsa pics of my high-flyin' travels!!
Boy, it was definitely an experience! I was nervous, but Meowmi was thankfully with me the whole time to allay any meowy fears I had...

When we got to the airport, Meowmi and I just had to pose to prove my assisted kitty, international travellin' status...

But I'd definitely have to say the most stressful part of the whole entire day was not the actual flying part (that was easy) but the getting out of my special cozy bag to walk through the x-ray machines...

But the flight, as I said was super easy. It was like I was with a big purrin' momma kitty, and I ended up resting/sleeping the whole way.
When we finally got to our new destination, Meowmi and I were too pooped to take any more pics that day.

Next post will be to fill you all in on meeting my new kitty housemate. That's a long story in and of itself!

Getting ready for Holiday!

So Meowmi tells me a special holiday is coming up in two days! Memorial Day!
I've been working very hard, playing very hard, and trying to lose that extra last quarter-pound so I can fit into my swimsuit Monday!

Playtime morning!

The sun might be bright, but I got a killer grip on this mouse!

Whoo! That sun is bright in the morning. I'm almost too blind to play! NOT!

This is my attack face--pretty scary, huh? I've been practicing in the mirror occasionally.

The Infamous Late Night Wedding

You know, the one my Meowmi made me stay up until 3am to watch. She said it was being televised from the other side of the world. Meowzers! Well, it was pretty, but luckily it wasn't long before Meowmi picked me up to take me to bed.

But today is a day to catch up on that much-needed sleep that I didn't get last night. Missing three hours means I have to nap at least six more hours today to make up for it!

A Dog on his Master

As young as I look,
I am growing older faster than he,
seven to one
is the ratio they tend to say.

Whatever the number,
I will pass him one day

the way I do on our walks in the woods.

The Love of a Ninja...

So sometimes I have to have cuddle time. Okay, a lot of the time. And when that happens, I can't get enough sandpaper kisses from my meowmi. Below is a pictured illustration of how my cuddle time goes normally...

I like to have the air of flippancy when I first sit down on Meowmi's lap, to achieve an effect of not caring whether she pets me or not. It usually works in getting her to pet me lots.

I like to watch the tv with Meowmi sometimes, especially if it is a gardening or animal show.
I like nature lots.

Sometimes Meowmi goes extra scratchy near my ears, where I like it most.

And if she gets distracted by a particularly eye-catching commercial or something, I nicely remind her to continue petting me with some well-timed licks and kisses.

Sunnin'

One of my very favorite pasttimes is to sun myself. That is, I find a nice place near the window where the sun is floating in and lay very quietly to catch as much sun as possible. It is a talent.

I'm not up to anything out of the ordinary.  Just going about my usual business...

But the very second Meowmi isn't looking....

Scratching Paddddd

So meowmi bought me a scratch pad when she first brought me home. And the best part about it is that it smells like catnip!!
Although I use the thing occassionally to sharpen my already perfect and beautiful claws, I mostly use it as a nice layabout pad. The catnip scent relaxes me. Plus the locale of the scratchpad allows me a perfect view of the whole apartment!

mousertimmmmme!

My favorite game is mousertime. Mousertime is all about catchin' that mouse. Sometimes it goes vrooooom really fast on the floor, sometimes it flies up in the air and I have to jump up to catch it. But Catch it I do!
Sometimes mousertime is really shoestring time. Shoelaces are just as fun to catch as my mousies that smell like catnip. Sometimes laces can be faster though, so I have to run really fast to catch it. But Catch it I do!
